Day-By-Day Itinerary

Day 1: (Wednesday) MUMBAI:
Departure in the evening from Chattarpati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai.

Day 2: (Thursday): SINDHUDURG NAGARI
Morning a high at the Sindhudurg Nagari Railway station. Departure by AC bus to Malvan Jetty. Onway walk to local weekly market at Katta village. From Jetty boat will ferry you to Sindhugarh the ocean fort & Once a Naval base of Maratha empire town. This fort was built in 1664-67 AD, by empror Shivajee one of the best preserved fort of Marathas, the 48 acre Sindhudurg fort has a 4 Km long Zig Zag line of 9 metres high & 3 metres wide ramipart with 42 bastions. Huge stones and the building material involved 2000 Khandis (72576 k.g) of iron erecting the massive curtain wall and bastions. The foundation stone were laid down firmly in molten lead. It also house twenty Hindu & Muslim families. Return to Jetty and proceed to TARKARLI BEACH RESORT Tarkarli a virgin beach at the bank of river Karli and Arabian Sea. It is along and narrow streach of beach with clear water, on a clear day you can see the sea bed through a depth of 20 ft. Lunch there and have a free time at Trakarli beach resort. Next, Bus will lead you to Dharmapur village visit Cashew factory on the way, Ancient temples of Goddess Bhagawati & Bharadi Devi on the banks of beautiful lake. After Darshan of drives proceed to bus to board the train at Kudal Railway Station. Dinner on Aboard.

Day 3: (Friday): GOA
Morning arrival at Karmali-Goa. Lovely tourist spot for people who wish to experience and have the luste of Goa. The ruins of St. Augustine Church once largest Cathedral in Goa. Basilica of Bom Jesus, The 16th Century church. St. Francis Mummy is enshrined here. Museum of antiques includes Se-cathedral and the church of St. Francis of Assissi walk through Fontanhas, The Latin quarters at Panjim. Departure to Verna Railway station for typical Goan lunch in the train. Evening traditional Goan dinner at hotel.

Day 4: (Saturday): KOLHAPUR:
Now you reached the Kolhapur city know as Karveer or Dakshin Kashi of Maharashtra. Situated on the banks of river Panchaganga. Head to wards New palace partly converted into Museum. The Museum houses rare paintings and artifacts used by the royal blood. Royal Weapons and tableau showing court life of the last century creates an aristocratic ambience. Next you are taken to Bhamani Mandap (The town hall). During in excavations at Brahmagiri antique value old sculptures filigree work in sandal wood and ivory. Old coins and paintings of master artists of the region are on the show. Then move to see beautiful and exquisitely carved Mahalaxmi Temple millions of devotees visit to have Darshan of Ambabai Devi visit to Shalini palace build of intricately carved black stone and Italian Marble on the west side of the Lake Rankala. Enjoy the Martial Art locally known as ‘Mardani Khel’ at palace and cultural programme. Kolhapur is famous for its cottons sarees, textlile and chappals and leather sandals and jewellary. The selected items are exhibited in stalls at the palace one can do shopping here. At noon board the train at Kolhapur station. Lunch onboard

Day 5: (Sunday) Aurangabad Morning arrival at Daulatabad Railway station. On bus proceed to visit Majestic fort of Daulatabad. At a height of 600 ft above the Deccan plain once known as Devgiri. This fort was the head quarters of powerful Yadav rulers. In 13th Century, Mohammed bin Tughlak, the sultan of Delhi made it his capital and named it Daulatabad or city of fortune. Next stop is Ellora cave a world heritage site. This 34 caves temple dedicated to Hinduism, Buddhism & Jainism just 26 km north of Aurangabad. Extended in a linear arrangement, the 34 caves contain Buddhist chaityas or halls of worship and Viharas or monasteries. Hindu and Jain temples are as old as 600 years between 5th & 11th century AD; (cave 29) is of Dhumar Lena. The most imposing without doubt is the magnificent Kailasa Temple (Cave 16) which is the largest monolithic structure in the world. LUNCH AND RELAX After lunch move on to see: Bibi-Ka-Maqbara a replica of TAJ MAHAL showing Mughal architecture at best shopping of Paithani, Himroo, and Bidriwork is memorabilia. Evening board the train from Aurangabad. Dinner on board.

Day 6: (Monday): CHANDRAPUR (TADOBA) WARDHA:
Morning arrive at Chandrapur. After break fast leave by jeep to visit Tadoba wildlife sanctuary the most attractive sanctuary in India. The park was establisher in 1935 and declared as a National park in 1955. Since 1995 the area Andhari wildlife sanctuary combine named as Tadoba-Andheri Tiger Reserve. It is the IInd Tiger Reserve project in the state; The Park has 50 Bengal Tigers, Spotted bears, Sambar chinkara, Leopard cat, Gaur, Neel Gai & barking deer & many more. You feel the joy by seeing many spieces of migrated birds from all over the world. Python Bengal monitor lizard and huge crocodiles are other inhabitants of the hotel. BEFORE NOON RETURN TO DECCAN ODYSSEY. LUNCH ONBOARD, RELAX. Late in the afternoon get down at Wardha railway station. Proceed by bus to Sevagram the "Village of Service" it is a small village symbolizing Gandhian way of life. Mahatma Gandhiji made his home in later years of his life. Many momentous decisions were taken during Indian’s Freedom years of struggle. Today Gandhi Ashram in Sevagram is a National Institution and his cottage. Where his personal belongings are preserved. At Sevagram Asharam one can see Adi Nivas (First residence), Prayer ground, Bapu Kuti, Ba- Kuti, Bapu’s Kitchen, Secretariat, Akhari Niwas (last Abode) of Gandhijee. Evening return on Deccan Odyssey, Dinner on Board.

Day 7: (Tuesday): AJANTA CAVES/ NASIK:
Morning arrival at Bhusawal railway station. By Bus you will be heading toward the Ajanta caves. Renowned Buddhist caves of Ajanta are World heritage site see one of the finest painting and sculptures of the second century AD. "Bodhisattava Padmapani" ‘Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara’ the birth of Lord Buddha & Thousand Buddha’s are amongst the many fine murals & Sculptures. Board train at Jalgaon railway station in the noon & proceed to Nashik Lunch on board .In the evening arrive at Nashik board railway station to board the bus to Panchawati Ghat where Sitajee cave, Kale Ram, Gore and fine "Vat" trees are located. Nashik is the world drawn from sacret "Ramayana". Laxmanjee cut the nose of Soorpankha and threw it in Kund so, this city was named as"Nasika" Now Nashik, there temples were build in 1794 a holy place of KUMBH MELA where Shri Ram Chandrajee took bath. Evening board the train at Deolali Railway station.

Day 08(Wednesday):MUMBAI
