North India Temples Tour

Destination Covered: Haridwar - Rishikesh - Haridwar - Mathura - Agra - Varanasi.

This tour encompasses the best of the Raj and explores the Islamic and Hindu cultures that co-existed with British rule.

Brahmin temples of Orissa and the many temples at Bindu Sarovars; intricate and detailed carvings abound, from flowers to animals to gods and humans. Outside of Bhubaneshwar, tour the Udaigiri and Khandagiri caves once occupied by Jain monks.

As the sun sets on Calcutta, board your launch for a cruise on the Hooghly River.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi - Haridwar - Rishikesh

On your arrival at Delhi airport/ Railway station our representative will meet and greet you. , drive to Haridwar -Rishikesh.Complex of three localities, where the holy River Ganges cuts her passage through the last foothills on her journey down the mountains and enters the plains. The first being the area around the famous Laxman Jhoola, which lends it name to the locality; then comes Muni Ji Reti (sands of the sages) where the wise ones spend time in devotion, meditation and yoga; and then comes the expanding township on the bank of the river. The whole complex is called Rishikesh. Rishikesh is important not only as a pilgrimage center closely with Ramayana but also as a home for many important centre of Hindu religious thoughts and spirituality. In the evening, we participate in the Aarti at Triveni Ghat. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 02: Rishikes - Haridwar - Delhi

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Delhi en route Sightseeing tour of Haridwar, includes visit to the Har-Ki-Pauri, the most popular bathing ghat of Haridwar, has a foot print on stone which is said to be that to be the Lord Vishnu. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 03: Delhi - Mathura

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Mathura, which is 149 Kms. & approx. 04 hrs. drive. Sightseeing tour of Mathura, associated with the life of Lord Krishna, whose birth, childhood and adulthood in and around the city are richly woven in to the poetry, music and dance that are part of Indian Tradition and Culture today. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 04: Mathura - Agra - Varanasi (By Train)

After breakfast ,check out from the hotel and drive to Agra Visit to Taj Mahal, Red Fort .then drive to Agra Railway Station & connect the overnight train to Varanasi. Overnight in Train.

Day 05: Varanasi

Arrive Varanasi Railway station and transfer to Varanasi hotel. Varanasi is also known by its ancient name Kashi and is the most important place for pilgrim for Hindus. Sightseeing tour includes visit to the Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas and the Banaras Hindu University. Later visit the Sarnath, the buried Buddhist City where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon.

Day 06: Leave Varanasi

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Later transfer to Varansi Airport/ Railway station for your flight/train to next destination.
